Rellis Spectrum Innovation Lab (RSIL)

Co-managed by Dr. Srinivas Shakkottai, Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Michael Fox Executive Director, CACN, the RSIL is a real-time, open-air, distributed research laboratory. It supports a variety of spectrum-related research and development, including: 

• Basic Science Spectrum R&D: Open-source core, software-defined radios/antennas, high-performance compute, and dynamic spectrum experiments (e.g., O-RAN, radar, jamming, passive sensing). 
• Applied Cellular Network & Application R&D: Commercial cores, multiple RAN options (O-RAN), sliceable software-defined networks, configuration/control, and performance analysis for custom applications.
