Project Summary

CACN (at the time ITEC) partnered with US Ignite, Texas A&M Institute for Data Sciences and TEEX to develop this proposal for an AI prize competition to be conducted at TEEX. The proposal is in response to
NIST’s Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program – Artificial Intelligence for IoT Information Prize Competition. The envisioned project would:

1. Establish a realistic data set based on live exercise data

2. Conduct a prize challenge assembling the best of industry and academia

3. Gain insights into data needs of the public safety community while unlocking understanding of sensor capabilities in advanced wireless network settings

4. Provide innovators with an opportunity to design, develop, test, and demonstrate usable systems for data visualization, situational awareness, and decision support during live emergency response scenarios.
