Joseph Estrada
Wireless Research Systems Engineer
Joseph supports 4G/5G wireless research and has expertise in the research of cellular technologies for the utility industry, and low latency and secure machine-to-machine cellular communications.
Joseph Estrada’s career began in 2008 with the United States Marine Corps where he served as a multi-channel equipment repairer. There, he performed electronics maintenance on multi-channel, tropospheric scattering microwave radio equipment. After leaving the Marine Corps, he obtained his bachelor’s in computer engineering from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. Before coming to CACN, he worked in the utility industry focusing on telecommunications research for low-latency use cases. Much of his research has been on secure machine-to-machine, cellular communications and he has recently obtained several 5G certifications and has been certified as a CBRS professional installer.
