Lakeishia King is a Business Administrator III in the Research Administration Office, where she provides comprehensive administrative and financial support for multiple units across The Texas A&M University System, including the Center for Applied Communications and Networks (CACN). In her role, she manages key business operations such as processing invoices, purchasing transactions, travel documentation, account assignments, and payroll correction transfers. She centrally prepares and reviews requisitions and invoices on behalf of the units she supports and ensures accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
Her contributions to CACN include administrative and financial support that ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations, timely processing of business actions, and alignment with established research and financial policies. She also plays an active role in identifying process improvements, supporting strategic goals, and maintaining the business infrastructure required for CACN’s ongoing success. With deep experience in financial administration, higher education operations, and customer‑focused service, Lakeishia brings strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills to the units she supports.
